Angus (again no solid truth) I think was the one who wandered. Back in the 40's, a lady arrived at Aunt Lizzie Beatty's in Stratford in a chauffeured limousine. She was a wife of Angus & was interested in his family. I think she didn't get a great reception. Very little was said about it except that she was probably 2nd or 3rd wife & dismissed fairly quickly. If I remember rightly, she was from the Detroit area and appeared to be quite wealthy.

In the Matter of the Application of John A. Hackett, an alien, to be admitted a Citizen of the United States.
Your Petitioner John A. Hackett respectfully represents unto this Honorable Court:
1st. That he was born on the 22 day of April A.D. 1868 at Canada
2nd. That he removed into and became a resident of the United States on the _____ day of August A. D. 1891
3rd.. That since that time his residence has been as follows: Port Huron
4th. That on the 25 day of March 1893, he declared on oath before the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County of St. Clair In the State of Michigan that it was bona fide his intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland to whom he was then a subject, which Court was a Court of Record.
5th. Your petitioner therefore prays that he may be admitted a Citizen of the United States

HACKETT - Suddenly on June 17, 1951, at St. Paul's Hospital, John Angus Cameron Hackett, late of 935 Drake Street. Survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth, one son, R. Hackett, Detroit. Services Wednesday, June 20, at 3 p.m. from the Bell Funeral Home, 2746 East Hastings Street.

(Elizabeth Ann Greenwood was born on 6 Jul 1868 in Wellesley Township, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada,22 23 24 died on 5 Dec 1942 in Port Huron, St. Clair, Michigan, United States 22 23 24 and was buried on 7 Dec 1942 in Port Huron, St. Clair, Michigan, United States 22.). The cause of her death was Cerebral Apoplexy.4
