Sharon Lee Shepard was born on December 26, 1939 in Sparlingville, Michigan. She had one brother and three sisters. Married for 55 years, Sharon Wheeler married Raymond Shepard on November 28, 1959 in Port Huron, Michigan. On August 3, 2014, Sharon passed away due to stage four cancer that started in the brain and spread throughout her body.Sharon was a devout Christian that loved her son, Mark Shepard, and daughter, Darlene Celso. She had two grandsons, Stephen Shepard and Kenny Shepard, and a granddaughter, Rebecca Lengfellner. Sharon was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Sofia Shepard, Skylar Shepard, and Mason Shepard. Her children were her joy, and she centered her life around them. Sharon was the type of person that was always ready to help, always showed compassion, and always put herself out there to help in any way that any family needed to make them happy. She loved her family, life, travel, her church, and most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sharon was even an inspiration to the nurses that cared for her in the hospital. Even in sickness, her love shown through her. After being taken off of a ventilator, she died 12 minutes later with a loving nurse who held her hand and cried. That nurse came up to the family and said that " she was filled with so much determination to beat cancer, but cancer finally won the battle." While Sharon will be missed dearly, she will always be in the hearts of her family and loved ones. We will remember her and smile because we know she is reunited with loved ones; she is no longer suffering while in heaven with The Lord.
