Phillips, 83, of Mattoon died at
5:45 p.m. Monday (May 6, 1991)
at her daughter's home in Trilla.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m.
Friday at Schilling's Funeral
Home with the Rev. Curtis Sin-
gleton officiating. Burial will be
in Neoga Cemetery. Visitation
will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
She was born Jan. 3, 1907, in
Coles County, the daughter of
Scott and Clara Carter Eaton.
She married Alvin Leroy Phillips
in 1948; he died in 1951.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by a
daughter, Katherine Gordon of
Trilla; two brothers, Lawrence
and Richard Eaton, both of Cooks
Mills; a sister, Marie Tatman of
Savoy; three grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death
by a brother, two sisters and a
grandson.
