FARINA MAN KILLED
IN AUTO ACCIDENT

Farina, Ill., March 2. - Wilbert
Wacholz of Farina was instantly
killed Saturday night when an au-
tomobile in which he was riding
struck a pier under the railroad
bridge where Route 142 passes un-
der the C. E. & I. tracks. A com-
panion, Zane Fitzgerald , was cut
about the face and head, and badly
bruised.
Wacholz attempted to pass an-
other car under the viaduct and his
car skidded in gravel, striking one
of the bridge piers.
Wacholz died before medical aid
could be reached.

ONE HURT AS AUTO
HIT BRIDGE PIER

FARINA, March 2. - Wilbert Wa-
cholz, Farina, was instantly killed
Saturday night when an automobile
in which he was riding struck a
pier under the railroad bridge
where Route 132 passes under the
C. E. & I. tracks. A companion,
Zane Fitzgerald , was cut about the
face and head, and badly bruised.
Wacholz attempted to pass an-
other car under the viaduct and his
car skidded in gravel, striking one
of the bridge piers.
Wacholz died before medical aid
could be reached. Fitzgerald was
taken to his home in Farina and
was reported recovering Sunday
afternoon.
An inquest was held in Farina
Sunday. Funeral arrangements are
incomplete.
